"The new energies pouring through Shamballa into the Hierarchy; these are of an extra-planetary nature & have their source largely in the Aquarian quality of the present cycle; these energies are steadily eliminating the energies of the Piscean Age." 1

Through the precession of the equinoxes, and during the last approximate 200 years, our Sun has been passing through the electromagnetic field of the constellation of Aquarius. Simultaneously, our Sun is also traveling through Aquarius in the Greater Zodiac. Comparable to the unfolding petals of a lotus flower - a symphonic fragrance is being released into the minds of disciples2 all over the world, as our Sun contacts and nourishes the unfolding lotus petals of Aquarius in both the lesser and Greater Zodiac.

This can be seen reflected in the world today by way of the changing consciousness of the new age disciple and discipleship Groups. During the Piscean age, disciples and discipleship Groups, while sensitive and sacrificial, were more singularly isolated; their "North Star" was the individualized self. The Piscean age found the disciple and his group polarized to the lower self through devotion; devotion to the "sun" self and reflected in the Piscean age guru. Today, we are challenged to fuse the Piscean energy with the Aquarian energy.

Now, due to the orbiting motion and rhythm of the Sun through the greater and lesser Zodiac, disciples are presently responding to new planetary and zodiacal influences. The response of advancing disciples to the influencing energies and forces of Aquarius has found them changing their pole star from the isolated self to the Group conscious Soul; from Bhakti Yoga, to Raja Yoga, and for the more advanced disciple-Agni Yoga. From devotion to the self, to building of the antahkarana bridge, to the soul's functioning in the Spiritual Triad, finally leading to complete flowering of the Self. The keynote of the Aquarian age is Brotherhood. Brotherhood starts with good will and right human relations.

The disciple has changed the orbit of his "sun," progressing from the moon, to the sun, to the ascendant; from his divine spark buried in the debris and distortion of his personality, to alignment and integration with his Soul's plan, to living his Soul's Purpose. As the disciple has responded to his ascending "sun" - he is now sensitive to extraplanetary energies, to Shamballa, Hierarchy and the Plan for humanity via the Spiritual Triad.

The disciple of the Aquarian era is mentally and spiritually polarized. Today, the disciple of the Piscean age consciousness, is recognized as one who is self-centered, striving for his personal freedom. The Aquarian, or new era minded disciple is polarized to the nucleus of his Group, striving for humanity's freedom. He is dedicated to the Purpose and Plan of the Group. His service is in response to the need of the Hierarchy.

Today's disciple is more scientifically oriented; he wants facts, he is no longer satisfied with the mystical form of life, he wants to be the occultist. The ideal for today's Aquarian disciple, is to use his Intuitional nature as a mechanism for creative response, response to impression from his Teacher, his Ashram, and Hierarchy. As an occultist he will use the energies and forces from Hierarchy and Shamballa in his labor and service; he measures all that he does, feels and thinks in the light of the Plan of his Group, his Teacher, Hierarchy and Shamballa.

2. The term disciple does not refer to any religious figure. A "disciple" is one who carries the light of his Soul into all parts of his life; into his profession, his service and his relationships. A disciple is recognized as one who expresses Beauty, Goodness, Truth, Joy and Freedom in all that he or she is and does.
